What is the difference between a House Manager, a household manager,
a personal assistant, and an estate manager?
House Manager and household manager are two names for the same role. Some families use one term, some use the other, and HouseSquire places for both.
A personal assistant typically supports an individual with their personal and professional needs, such as calendars, correspondence, and appointments. A House Manager supports the household as a whole, including schedules, errands, vendors, home projects, and family logistics. Some roles blend the two, and that is common.
An estate manager oversees larger or multiple properties and often manages staff, budgets, and long-term projects across them. It is a broader role, usually with a larger household or property behind it.

How much does it cost to work with HouseSquire?
The placement fee is 20% of the House Manager’s annual compensation, with a $5,000 minimum placement fee. The full fee and payment details will be reviewed with you before the search begins.
Does HouseSquire offer a placement guarantee?
Yes. HouseSquire offers a 90-day placement guarantee. The full terms of the guarantee, including what happens if a placement ends during that period, will be outlined in your agreement before the search begins.
Where does HouseSquire place House Managers?
HouseSquire is based in Oklahoma City and works with households both locally and beyond, including Edmond, Nichols Hills, Norman, Yukon, and the surrounding communities. If you are located outside the area, reach out to discuss your needs and whether HouseSquire can support your search.
How long does the placement process take?
Every search is different. Timing depends on the needs of the role, candidate availability, and how quickly the right fit is found. Our goal is to find the right fit within 6 weeks.
